Although it is clear, there is an inner thin casing of milk glass. The whole exterior is satin frosted except where the pattern is. The pattern is unfrosted linear designs formed of glossy against the dull frosted background. There are numerous bands, ovals interlocking at the widest top edge, rosettes, bellflowers, acanthus leaves, Frenchy elements with colonial revival ones. To top this off, it originally had a green stain/ paint on all the glossy pattern lines. This may have been what resisted the acid finish in the manufacture. The opening is 6"and there is a small hole for a finial at the narrow tip end. DIAMETER is about 10.5"at the shoulder/ widest point. Condition: Perfect, no damage.
