Seller: thechocoberry (1,437) 100%, Location: Lititz, Pennsylvania, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 123871714837 This is an excellent condition, late 1800s, celluloid advertising bookmark. It is from the Maltine Manufacturing Company and is die-cut in the shape of an owl. The back lists all the things you can mix Maltine with including coca wine, quinia, and strychnia. Of course, coca wine was basically cocaine. Maltine was basically a very strong alcohol that was promoted as a cure-all-type medicine and even marketed it to children. This measures 3.5" tall and is in excellent condition. It is made by Whitehead & Hoag. I'm sure this was a giveaway from the company. Please ask if you have any questions.
