One of the earliest types, the gate-leg table, was common from around 1690 to 1725. Gate-leg tables were generally made of walnut or maple and where solidly built with four turned stationary legs connected by stretchers, two-additional legs swing out - like gates - to support the leaves This beautiful walnut table with spindle legs is circa late 1800s and is in very good to excellent condition. Any issues are as follows: one vertical scratch on table top, a few light surface nicks and one patch on table top has been repaired. See all pics for details.
