Item:362717234941In my opinion an interesting example of a LANNA NORTHERN THAI / BURMESE VASSAL STATE PERIOD , 17thc, Celadon glazed , " TUKATA SIA KABAN ", EXOTIC BIRD , ANCESTOR FIGURE / ROOF FINIAL ?: A VERY UNUSUAL AND RARE EXAMPLE OF SUCH THAI FIGURINES: , A SYMBOL AND "REQUEST" FOR FERTILITY ( RAIN ) AND FAMILY HARMONY . With votive vase top section , as shown . This is made from thick hand formed clay, fully hand painted with a fine detail. This was bought at source in the Far East in the mid 1990's, and is one of the more unusual large examples that I have owned. I believe this is from a family shrine, and the figure would have been an attendant figure/ votive offering . Part of my Asian Thai based collections and will be posted out from there. The item is in fine reference order. Restored break to the votive vase section, wear to the glaze, crazing and some oxidation , see pictures. Combined postage offered . Height at 7 inches, length at 4.25 inches and depth at 3.5 inches . Terms & Conditions of sale included within the "ME" section of ebay.Condition:Restoration as described / photographed, Region of Origin:Lanna Kingdom, Product:figure, Age:Pre-1800, Primary Material:stoneware, Original/Repro:Original
