Here is a SUPER CHOICE CRISP NEW and GENUINE PENNSYLVANIA COLONIAL AMERICAN REVOLUTION ERA 5 SHILLINGS CURRENCY NOTE, dated October 25, 1775. (Certificate of Authenticity provided at no extra cost)

Royal Arms of Pennsylvania at right, with motto "Mercy and Justice". Words "FIVE SHILLINGS" on pillars and pediment borders at top, bottom and right. (5 Shillings = 1 Crown; 20 Shillings (4 Crowns) = 1 Pound Sterling).

Back shows skeletonized leaves (anti counterfeiting device). FIVE SHILLINGS at top. Motto "To Counterfeit is DEATH" below leaves. PRINTED BY HALL and SELLERS, 1775. at bottom. 

Serial # 3720. Hand signed by Pennsylvania colonial officials Adam Grubb, H.J. Graham, and F. Johnston.

It reads: "FIVE SHILLINGS. According to an Act of General Assembly of Pennsylvania, paffed in the 15th Year of the Reign of His Majesty GEO. III. Dated the 25th Day of October, Anno Domini, 1775. A CROWN."
