These original, early 20th century hooks are the perfect combination of beauty and practicality. They are a treasure. The ornately detailed fish-style hooks are substantial and large - if properly hung, they can hold a nice amount (bulky coats, hats, towels, blankets, etc.) The cast iron hooks have a fancy antique brass finish. In some lights, it looks yellowish brass. In other lights, it looks brownish brass. And - my favorite - is when the hooks appear greenish (as though tarnished - which they are not, but in certain lights, the illusion is there). I would date roughly to the turn of the 20th century - a little before or a little after, but right around that time. They are in excellent used condition. Considering they are over 100 years old, they impart an old-fashioned beauty and style that isn't available today. The finish is completely intact. There are no breaks, cracks, or fissures.
