Copper coin Pair 3 Dengi 1772 Russian Empire for Moldavia and Wallachia, during the reign of Catherine 2, nominal weight 10.7 gr. Moldavian-Walachian coin, Moldavian-Russian coins, Sadogur coin - the first common money for Moldova and Wallachia, put into circulation during the Russian-Turkish war of 1768-1774 by the Russian army led by P. A. Rumyantsev-Zadunaysky with the support of the authorities of Wallachia . Coins of two denominations were minted - one pair - 3 money and 2 pairs - 3 kopecks. During the Russo-Turkish war (1768-1774), which ended with the Kyuchuk-Kainarji peace, Marshal Pyotr Rumyantsev-Zadunaisky, the commander of the Russian occupation forces in Moldavia and Wallachia, took measures to organize the economy and taxes in these principalities. He initiated the minting of coins for circulation in these provinces, which were called Sadogur. In 1770, a mint was founded on the estate of Baron Nikolai Hartenberg (Sadogursky) in the city of Sadaghura, located near the city of Chernivtsi, where coins were minted with a denomination expressed in Turkish (pairs) and Russian monetary units (money and kopecks). In 1771, the first coins were issued for circulation in denominations of 1 pair - 3 money, which had on the obverse the image of the coats of arms of the two principalities, and on the reverse the denomination and year, as well as trial coins. Sadogur coins were distributed both in Moldavia and in Wallachia in 1772-1774, and after the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Romanian principalities in 1774, they gradually went out of circulation.
