This is the hard cover version of the Student Pilot Handbook used by the aviation cadets at U S Army Air Corps fields, and also I believe in the Civilian Pilot Training Program (CPTP) during World War Two. This is published by Books, Inc., and is the First Printing, March 1943. Text by Jack Hunt and Ray Fahringer, and great illustrations by Ray Fahringer. This handbook is in very good condition, considering its age, with no writing on pages except for the name of the original owner on the first inside page. The covers have a very slight crease, but there are no loose pages, no tears or underlining or dog-ears. There may have been a dust jacket, but that is gone. This handbook would be great additional instruction for today's student pilots or even for accomplished pilots, especially those flying or transitioning to taildraggers. Also a great addition to anyone's aviation or military book collection.
