A huge Japanese-made MCS 75+75W receiver, I believe 1979-80. (anyone have the date code key on these?) Most likely made in the NEC factory, though some people claim Panasonic/Technics. It fires up, sounds great. A 5-band EQ is featured on each channel. The various filters, EQ, inputs, etc. all work. If you love spaceship or radio-station type aesthetic gauges, meters etc. this deck won't fail to impress. Looks like most all lamps work; after glancing over the faceplate in different play modes and settings we failed to see an obvious burn out. The biggest quirks in these late '70s/1980 builds seem to be the cosmetics of the switches and the cheesy laminate "labels"; this one is no exception with some peeling of the laminate on the sides, notably on the left hand edge, and sure enough, the on/off switch head has cracked off. The switch still works and is accessible with a finger. The tuning dial string might need to be re-tensioned: it moves freely to the right hand side of the spectrum, but moving left around 97-98 FM it begins to feel awkward and maladjusted. It seems the tuner itself works as intended. There is a crack in the dial glass, as seen. A couple rotary selector knobs are obvious replacements; the second hand market may have originals if you look around. One of the (+) speaker binding posts has pulled out of its housing, and is loose on the rear. (this is also somewhat common on these decks) The metal connection is still there, i.e. the post still "works" and could be inserted back into the plastic housing with the right tool/technique. See my other listings for more music, radio, and broadcast audio stuff!! Please understand this is old electronics, and sold as-is due to its nature. I have described the item(s) to the best of my ability and do not intend to misrepresent. However, a return policy is available.  International buyers please refer to the shipping calculator.  Please note S/H costs include postage, packaging, processing, and handling. Bid with your overall costs in mind. If you are in Canada, I can ship FedEx Int'l Ground for likely cheaper than what is displayed for US Post rates.
