Shown is a Chinese Dongfang stainless steel sword/sabre that is pre-owned from an estate sale. It is in good condition, with just light wear. The blade however slips out of the hilt. I'm not entirely sure if it should. It might need to be glued in or something. It measures 16 3/4" long, with the blade being 12 1/2" long. The scabbard is very ornate brass with plastic. It has nicely detailed raised relief brass dragons and a fish. The hilt has a brass dog design with plastic?? grip. I'm not sure of the history or origin of this piece, so if anyone out there does, feel free to let me know. It looks like it could be a display piece, but then the blade is sharp, so it makes me think it isn't just for display....just not sure. Please refer to photos. Thanks for looking!!
