Seller: randallw6 (923) 100%, Location: Snellville, Georgia, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 232159149839 I'm listing lots of door hardware this week; here's a pretty example of a beautiful set consisting of 2 Art Deco door plates paired with two 12 point crystal glass door knobs. Plates are in very good condition (no dings, dents or deep scratches); steel spindle included. This set is all cleaned up-- so you don't have to, unlike so many other sets listed on Ebay that are just junk. These are ready to install; see notes below. These antiques date back to the 1920's-1940's or so and are as popular today as they were back then, if not more so. They will last forever and are never out of style. And, so much prettier and better- quality than those cheap-looking plain glass reproductions you see at some retail stores, with inferior metal and no sparkle. These brass door plates measures about 7"H x 1-5/8" W above the keyhole. Knobs are typical 2" diameter, do not spin in their collars; no obvious chips or cracks; feel nice and smooth in your hand. Both crystal knobs carefully cleaned to bring out a wonderful sparkle and luster. This set is not new or perfect; but in very good to excellent vintage condition in my opinion, consistent with age and use. These knobs were originally used with a mortise lock, but you don't need one; a "tube latch" will work just fine on modern doors. You can find tube latches at Ace Hardware or I can provide one for additional cost. This beautiful vintage hardware will make your door look special. I love these oldies; and so will you. I encourage questions before buying; I am no expert on these and I want you to be happy with your purchase. Shipping noted is estimate only, I have not packed and weighed these yet because I list so many items, but no worries; I make no money on shipping, I will ship the most economical way possible unless buyer needs sooner. See notes below. INSTALLATION OPTIONS: On a MODERN door, you would need what's called a "tube latch" (pic 3), with a SQUARE hole in the latch to fit the square spindle (the rod that connects the two door knobs). The tube latch inserts into the edge of the door near the knob holes and then the spindle goes thru the square hole and connects the two knobs, which then will turn the latch. If you have an OLDER door, you may have what's called a "mortise" lock (Pic 4), a slim metal "box" that slides in the edge of the door and the spindle connecting the two knobs goes thru the square hole, similar to the tube latch operation noted above. Either way, I'll be happy to help you with your installation. Condition: Beautiful vintage condition hardware, Color: brass, Maker: unknown, Material: brass and crystal glass
