Seller: randallw6 (922) 100%, Location: Snellville, Georgia, Ships to: US & many other countries, Item: 332034442649 Here's another pretty, vintage, historical and antique brass door hardware set consisting of TWO beautiful 12 point crystal glass knobs, paired with ONE Art Deco/Nouveau era door plate with classic keyhole, of course. A round "rosette" or escutcheon was typically used back in the day on the other side of the door that is not seen as much as the front side. These are easily found on Ebay or at antique shows. Set includes one steel spindle and two set screw. All parts cleaned up-- so you don't have to! They are ready to install. These antiques date back to the 1920's-1930's or so and are as popular today as they were back then, if not more so. They are NEVER out of style. And, so much prettier and better- quality than those cheaply-made plain glass imported reproductions you see at some retail stores, with no sparkle in the glass and poor-quality metal. The door plate measures about 4.25"H x 1.75"W at the knob hole. 12 point crystal glass knobs are typical 2" diameter, and do not spin in their collars; no obvious chips or cracks; nice, smooth feeling in your hand, with good interior glass (not all rusty) that is so hard to find these days. Crystal knobs carefully cleaned to bring out a wonderful sparkle and luster. Plate has vintage luster and patina. This hardware is not new or perfect; but in very good-very good vintage condition, consistent with age and use. Spindle screws may not original. These knobs were originally used with a mortise lock, but you don't need one; a "tube latch" will work just fine on modern doors. You can usually find tube latches at some hardware stores or I can provide either tube latch or mortise lock for small additional cost. Beautiful vintage antique door hardware that will make your door look special! I love these oldies; and so will you! Please view all pictures as they are part of the description. I encourage questions before buying; I am no expert on these. See notes below. INSTALLATION OPTIONS: On a MODERN door, you would need what's called a "tube latch" (see pic4), with a SQUARE hole in the latch (some newer tube latches on newer door hardware do not have a square hole); to fit the square spindle (the rod that connects the two door knobs). The tube latch inserts into the edge of the door near the knob holes and then the spindle goes thru the square hole and connects the two knobs, which then will turn the latch. If you have an OLDER door, you may have what's called a "mortise" lock (Pic 5), a slim metal "box" that slides in the edge of the door and the spindle connecting the two knobs goes thru the square hole, similar to the tube latch operation noted above. Either way, it's very easy and you'll have a lovely, working door! What kind of door do you have? I'll be happy to walk you thru whatever application you have/need!! I encourage questions; I want you to be happy with your purchase! Condition: Beautiful used, vintage hardware, Color: brass, Maker: unknown, Material: brass plated steel and 12 point crystal glass
