Thank You for Visiting My Auction! This is a 7 Day No Reserve Auction for this 6' Disston 2 Man Logging Saw with Adjustable Handles as found. The Saw Blade is in very good vintage used condition and is etched with Disston & Sons over the Disston symbol. Disston is synonymous with quality and durability. An excellent and very collectible addition to a collection. I cleaned this blade until the Disston etch in the center became readable at which point I thought it best to stop. With the exception of a small nick to the bottom corner at one butt end of the blade the saw blade is true straight with all teeth undamaged intact. I removed the handles for pictures and shipping. Overall normal wear consistent with understanding the cutting down & cutting up of huge trees. The blade has small areas of light pitting and rust consistent with age and use cutting trees. The saw blade is 6' 1/4" long. Measures 7' wide at the belly of the blade and the butt ends where holes for handles attach is 2 3/4" wide. The longest teeth are 1 1/4" deep and are to the handles. The belly teeth are 1/8" shorter at 1 1/8" depth. The top edge of this Disston blade is curved opposite the curve of the cutting edge and not flat across from handle to handle. There are 2 pictures where you can see that the etching on this 2 man blade reads Disston & Sons with the Disston symbol underneath. The handles visually look to be in good strong working condition with minor wear in handles where butt of blade meets the handle when set closest to the blade. Please see pictures. Further cleaning and sharpening this blade is the decision of the winner of the auction. The teeth are sharp enough now to cause serious injury. Handle the blade a thick pair of leather gloves when unpacking.
