Art Nouveau | A. Förster & Co. (Wiener) | Vienna Ceramics Werkstaette | Figurine.
Produced by A. Forster of Wien. This company predated the Wiener Kuntskeramische Werkstaette which was started in 1908 when Heinrich Ludescher and Robert Busch bought out A. Förster & Co. of Vienna Austria. They were only in existence from 1899 to 1908 which was the art nouveau period. This piece bears their stamped round makers mark—This was used by the business of Alexander Förster a.k.a. Förster & Co. (1899 - 1906) from Vienna, Austria. It is not a bee but a stylized open-wing stag beetle, the registered trademark of Förster.
