This vintage early 20th century probably Syrian dallah coffee pot, is hand worked in copper with a brass lid and handle attachment. The body has a meshed join around the body and is incised with a honeycomb pattern at the top with an applied shaped spout. The brass lid has copper inner liner which is decorated around the top with lotus flower and arabic Islamic Kufic style script border and ball finial. The lid is attached to the top of the shaped handle with a hinged joint all held with copper rivets. This lovely old dallah is missing the hinged cover to the spout and has a little damage where the ball finial meets the lid, making it a bit loose at this point. It is signed to the body with an impressed script mark in a shield shape. Height 19.6cm, length 20cm.
