Item:314309026979Edwardian Silver Plated 3-Piece Tea Service. Date: c. 1910. Early 19th Century Edwardian Silver Plated 3-Piece Tea Service Teapot, Sucrier, Milk Jug/Creamer. This is an excellent Edwardian 3 Piece Tea Service comprising of an elegant Teapot, Sucrier and Milk Jug or Creamer . Dating to c.1910 or earlier the oval shaped teapot which stands on 4 legs and paw feet has an overhanging extended scalloped rim. The black ebonised handle has a top thumb spur to assist handling and pouring and is insulated by ivory or similar rings at the top and bottom of the plated fixings to the body. The sucrier and milk are similarly oval in shape with the same top rim and stand on similar 4 legs and feet. No maker's name but well matching and the same mark to the underside of all 3 pieces. Please have a look at the photographs to appreciate the quality, design and condition. Dimensions : Teapot - Height to top of knop: approx. 15.0 cm. (5.9 inch.). Handle to spout: approx. 27.5 cm. (10.8 inch.). Max. width across top: approx. 14.0 cm. (5.5 inch.). Sucrier - Height: 7.3 cm. (2.9 inch.). Length of top rim: 13.2 cm. (5.2 inch.). Width of top rim: 10.0 cm. (3.9 inch.). Milk Jug / Creamer - Height to top of handle: 9.3 cm. (3.7 inch.). Spout to handle distance: 16.5 cm. (6.5 inch.). Width of top rim: 8.8 cm. (3.5 inch.). Weight : Total 910 grams. Marks : To the underside of all 3 pieces is 'MADE IN ENGLAND ' above in Gothic script 'E P N S ' for Electroplated Nickel Silver and below 'GUARANTEED HARD SOLDERED '. In addition the Teapot has '53 '. Condition : Excellent. Apart from small areas of lost plate in the base of the sugar (See last Photo. ) there is no other damage and no repair or restoration.
