Occasionally I list for SewSweetie1937, a senior friend and lifelong quilter, who has recently gone into Senior Housing and space is at a premium for her.
Constructed of predominantly vintage fabrics. Miss SewSweetie recently made a trip to Joanne's Fabrics where she almost experienced apoplexy over the prices of fabrics these days, but managed to collect herself and make many purchases.
There's a definite "art" to making these and I am advised it's all in the "color shadings."
Perfect for a wall hanging, the center medallion of your latest quilt, or a lap throw for a very special nursing home patient. Some of the ladies also enjoy these for table toppers. The colors are so very pretty in this 10 rib variation Log Cabin.
When I first saw this, I went "OOOOHHHHHHH." Possibly the manner in which it has been set together, or the colors. My pic looks almost geometric but the fabrics make this little top so very sweet and friendly in person..
The combination of varying greens from deepest to lightest and green prints with pinks is really charming. The near vintage fabrics are really quite wonderful and you will enjoy looking at them.. Very nicely made, the back of this piece is almost as pretty as the top side, each little seam carefully joined and pressed. Needless to say, the fabrics are fresh, clean and inviting and ready for your prettiest quilting stitches.
The little top measures approximately 30" X 30.
Your bonus? Why, the strips necessary to complete the binding for your little project.
