It is made of pine and is currently painted. This is a two piece mantel. It has an upper and lower section. The upper has 4 finials and a small spindle gallery at the top. There is a beveled mirror in the center and two pairs of turned columns topped with carved sunbursts to either side. The lower has a shelf trimmed in dentil molding. There is a band of wave shaped molding. The legs have pilasters with incised designs at the top. It likely dates to the early 1800's. It measures 68.5 long, 72.75 tall and is 10.5 deep at the shelf. The firebox opening is 52 wide by 40.25 tall. Overall, it is in good condition. There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique. It could use a good cleaning. The paint is flaking overall. There are a couple missing moldings around the firebox. Please see the pictures carefully. Ref: 81535 Shipping Please inquire with your zip code and I will get you a quote quickly. About Us My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! Thanks for visiting. Steve and Michelle Condition: please read the description carefully., Material: Glass
