Incredible and RARE Takamine J15E Archtop Electric Guitar
This auction is for an incredible and rare Takamine J15E. There is very little information on these guitars and I can only tell you what I know and what the original seller has described. This has a solid spruce top with what appaears to be cocobolo back and sides but was described as rosewood. I will let you, the buyer decide. In either case, it has beautiful solid woods. I am probably going to regret selling this incredible guitar with incredible sound but I too many guitars and seldom play them, therefore, I need the money and the room.
This guitar is in very good condition for a guitar this age. The top has quite a few very hard to notice dings and scuffs that do not go through the finish, one noticeable dent at the bridge which was formerly covered but revealed when the bridge was adjusted by my luthier to obtain better intonation. There is a small finish crack on the upper bout at the neck. The back and neck have typical scuffs from playing but are litterally invisible unless held up to the light. From straight on it looks pristine.
The case is a very worn old Epiphone Emperor case.
Shipping is for Continental US only via FedEx Ground and will be estimated at actual cost if the buyer is in Canada, Hawaii or Alaska. No international shipping; USPS won't ship a box this size anymore and FedEx and UPS are way too expensive.
