Stiffel Mid Century Hollywood Regency Chinoiserie Ginger Jar Lamps - James Mont
Offered for your consideration is this stunning, high quality pair of signed Stiffel lamps. These circa 1950/60s lamps would be an awesome addition in Hollywood Regency and Asian Modern decor. Notice the graceful ginger jar form, detailed brass (bronze?) mounts, and beautiful proportions. Weighing in at roughly 18 pounds each and standing nearly 3 feet tall, these are heavy, well-made lamps. Even the finials, which are made of solid brass (bronze?), are large and substantial. On Feb-17-12 at 23:12:45 PST, seller added the following information:
Measurements: bases measure 7.5" square; overall height to top of finials is approximately 36".
Condition: very good vintage condition; the mounts show tarnish which should polish off quite easily, if you choose to do so (I think they look great as-is). The porcelain bodies show no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. I have owned these lamps for years and can say that both are in fine, working condition; however, as is the case with all vintage lighting, rewiring is probably advisable.
Please note: lamp shades are NOT included.
Shipping: I use a professional packing and shipping company, MailBoxes Plus, to pack and ship all of my items. These folks have safely shipped rare and delicate items for me all across the world. Insurance for your full purchase price and tracking is always included. As a result of my choice to use professional packers and shippers, my shipping costs are often significantly higher than what is quoted in my auctions. In the unlikely scenario that my shipping quote is higher than actual costs, I will send the buyer a refund for the difference via Paypal.
