It was promoted by the Paris Etching Society amd distributed by Turner of New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. The etching is personally signed by the artist Paul Emile Lecomte in the margin below the etching. The name also appears in the etching above the artist's signature. In the margin at the lower left to the right of what appears to be a copyright circle bearing the letters SZL are the French words "Visux logis in Bourgogne (France) best I can make out. Fall colors dominate. Some of the treel limbs have lost their leaves. A portly man with a cane approaches the door of a shuttered three-story house. In the front of the houseis a wall with an iron fence that opens into a court yard or patio area. Two thatched-roof structures are to the left in the greatly detailed etching.that measures approximately 23" X18". An ivory-colored margin is matted in a medium greed textured mat. The entire presentation was framed by an old gold frame wired on the back for hanging. The original title stamps is secured to the back. A buyer in Spain defaulted on payment after much accomodation to reduce shipping fees to Spain. I will have the etching professsionally framed in the frame pictured if this is the buyer's wish. I will mail the etching unframed to greatly reduce the postage price if mailed to an address outside the U.S. or if a U.S. buyer so wishes. The etching may be seen by arrangement in Decatur or Springfield, Illinois. Local pickup is encouraged. Buyer prepays and adds $18.00 postage, packaging and insurance if mailed to any of the Continental United States.
