Octavo, pp. x (580), full calf covers with contemporary backing including red morocco label, lacking title page and frontis world map. Includes five folding maps engraved by Neele: Africa, North America, South America, Asia, and Europe. Ownership signature on the front paste-down by James White of Lower Largo, Scotland, dated 1794. The maps are dated 1795 and 1796, indicating this volume is a rebinding that includes leaves that were not part of the original. Also with James White Jr.'s signature on the free rear endpaper, plus marginalia on the rear paste-down. ESTC 39852.
