Sample 2 TR1602A-K Integrated Circuits for Scrap Gold
Do you have the ability to smelt for gold? I don't.
I have in my possesion over a thousand new old stock unmounted integrated circuits. We believe these circuits are fairly obsolete, and not likely be in much demand in their complete state. HOWEVER, they contain a good amount of gold in the form or wire and pins which could be salvaged by someone who has knowledge of how to smelt or recover it.
I don't know the exact quantity of gold per unit. What this auction is for, is to sell a sample of two of these integrated circuits for someone who would like to try to figure out how much gold is in them.
At that time if you would like to buy more of them in bulk, we can agree to a price that would be worthwhile, for you to buy more (or all) of them.
These circuits were all made in the 1970's through the early 1980's when gold was much less expensive, and so they were not hesitant to use a lot of it. They were made for military use, and thus were of the highest quality.
The photos you see are of one of these circuits which I broke open with a hammer. The outer case is a ceramic which is easy to break up. We also believe that it would be easy to smelt away at certain temperatures. You can see there are solid gold wires coming off of the chip in the center of the IC. Also if you notice the silicon device is laying in a bath of gold. Plus all of the pins and other connections are gold plated.
