  • (Born 1882 in Bologna) He made his debut in 1905 with a group show organized by the "Francesco Francia" Association, from which he will be awarded the following year and so for the following five editions. At the "Francia" shows, Protti will continue to participate almost uninterruptedly until 1922, starting in 1908 as a group of artists and becoming a councilor in 1915. He will attend the National Exhibition of Fine Arts at the Palazzo della Permanente in Milan in 1908, 1910 and 1912. From 1909, the year in which he was invited for the first time to the Venice Biennale, he will be present at eight editions up until 1926, years that saw him active also at the three editions of the Secession in Rome (1913, 1914, 1915), at the Floridian Exhibition in Rome, at the Turin Quadrennial, at the Roman Biennale and at the Florentine Spring. He is able to send his works also to important international international exhibitions: in 1910 he is in Buenos Aires, in 1911 in Paris, in 1912 in San Francisco, in 1913 in Pittsburgh and in Monaco, in 1914 in Barcelona and Zurich.
