Renault Megane Scenic 1.9 DCI ….50 mpg plus DIESEL
Here we have my Renault Scenic that I have owned for more than a year, and it has given me very good service, loads of mpg and no problems.
When I first got the car I had the timing belt changed as this can be very costly if it fails and once changed it is good for roughly another fifty thousand miles. This car has done high motorway miles which is very easy on the car compared to thousands of short stop start local shop and school runs. Today modern diesels will go on almost forever provided they are kept topped up with oil and water. This one uses neither, starts easily and drives well. Mechanically she is apparently all good, which includes the tyres which are good quality with loads of tread.
The bodywork is also good although as with most cars it has the odd scuff from shopping trolleys. Generally it looks very tidy.
Even better, the interior is also exceptionally clean and tidy and has twin electric sun roofs. I think you will be quite impressed. Have a close look at the pictures.
This is a spacious car with loads of hidden storage spaces. The rear seats can be folded forward to give a massive luggage space or even, very easily, totally removed if required.
Additional features include remote central locking, electric windows, electric mirrors, cd multi player, and air conditioning.
I personally find the high driving position a big advantage on the road and the car is also very easy to get in and out of with comfortable seats.I would have difficulty to find much fault with this model of Scenic and, if needed to, I would happily jump in this car and drive 1400 miles to southern Spain tomorrow. Even better is that I generally get between 50 and 60 mpg on a run.
I am only selling as I have bought a sailing boat and now need a 4x4 to tow this. Unfortunately, about 30mpg from the 4x4 stings a bit after having enjoyed such economical motoring from my Scenic.
I have advertised the car under "classified", so that you can come and view first, and keep your money in your pocket until you are 100% happy. I my opinion much less risk than buying unseen at auction. The Mot runs to late August and is taxed until September. Last year all she needed one rubber bush replaced on the anti-roll bar for the Mot. I replaced both for total cost of under a tenner.
Needless to say the Registration Book and Mot are here, together with owners handbook, central locking car key plus a spare/second key.
Feel free to ask questions or arrange to view in the Guildford area.
