This window is a combination of, full Mouth Blown Antique glass, stained glass, beveled glass and gluechip glass. It is from my childhood home and is circa 1890.
This is extremely rare with the hand painting of the bird and the bee together on the mouth blown antique center glass. As well as the artistic mixture of all the different kinds of glass.
There are 2 matching transom windows listed separately. Please see my other auctions.
We may be moving to a smaller home and I have carried the window(s) with me my entire life in hopes of using them someday and it has never become a reality. After 40 years I'm excepting the fact that they will probably never fit into my lifestyle.
Please PM me with ?'s I will tell you everything I know about them.
They measure 37.25" x 24.25" for this window. 2 pieces in the large window have hairline looking cracks in the small skinny border around the middle of the piece. (see photo)
The transoms (separate auction) are 19.25" x 22.25". They have no cracks or breaks in the transoms.
They are NOT signed.
I have been told 3 different stories about the windows so I don't know which is accurate if any.
1. They were made by a Toronto artist for the home.
2. They were made by a Vancouver artist for the home.
3. They were shipped over from Europe for the home.
(the photos taken outside make it look like there is more on the center window but it is just the snow and grass behind the window, please see the inside photos for a clear look. I took outside photos to show the beauty of the glass with the light shining through, this window has to metal loops on the upper corners for hanging)
Shipping cost includes careful crate and packaging for this piece at the UPS store.
