The front of this vessel is elaborately decorated with appliqué and incised details depicting the bead-framed face of the sun god Kinich Ahau depicted with a projecting tongue, incised scroll-eyes, large nose tabs, wearing quatrefoil earflares and surmounted by a wide headband embellished with a downward facing bird’s head. 7.25” (18.4cm) high x 9.25” (23.2cm) in diameter.
