Miniature Chinesco solid ceramic statuette of a girl standing with her hands held to her mid-section, painted ina dark orange-red with creamy yellow features: eyes, hair, nose ring, a garment band around the waist, and another around the legs, enclosed five painted decorations of concentric ovals around the hips and thighs. Also a painted necklace and arm decorations on the sides. She is mounted securely on a custom teak and brass stand. Aside from some minor erosion to the right edge of her leg, tiny spots upon her feet, and a tiny spot on each shoulder, this object is unbroken and in excellent condition. The paint is very well preserved. Height: 3.4 inches (8.6cm). It was acquired by me in 2002 from Sothebys. Shipping includes insurance.
