Verne Q. Powell flute #3003 was manufactured in Boston, Massachusetts on Thursday, February 8, 1968. It is a Handmade Commercial Metal Flute, Sterling silver, drawn tone holes, .018" tubing, Tradition Powell Scale, A-440, French cups, B foot, in-line G. It is in excellent condition, having just received a complete overhaul in our shop. An absolute pleasure to play!
From the Powell website: "Starting in 1927, Mr. Powell made two kinds of flutes, a Handmade model and a Commercial model. The Commercial model was a handmade Sterling Silver flute with drawn tone holes rather than soldered, which the handmade model had. The Commercial model was Mr. Powell's vision for the best quality instrument for the best possible price."
Verne Q. Powell flute #3003 comes with a brand new ProTec Slimline flute case. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.
