Baltimore Pear Lid Clear Adams & Company, Pittsburgh PA., circa
1874. The United States Glass Company,Pittsburgh PA at Facttory"A"
circa 1891. EAPG Glows a spooky yellow green under the black light and
the pears have little tiny lines at the top and the impression is
finely detailed. This lid is 7 1/8" outside diameter, the inside of the
flange is 6 7/16 outside of flange 6 11/16" Color and
clarity are in the normal range for this pattern, this piece is clear
and any colors you see in the photographs
are reflections of the outdoors where I took the photos. Straw marks ,
waviness and bubbles common to this era of glass. This lid is not
perfect there are two areas of chips on the flange and fleabites on
flange and rim. There are several bubbles with very shot tails. There is
a little wear in the form of light scratches on the body and a couple
of the pears. It is very light . Weight of the lid is 1.178 without
packing.Top of finial is not pointed, not sharp looks like a
manufacturing defect. Please email with questions or comments.
