About Woodstock Percussion: Garry and Diane Kvistad are the founders and owners of Woodstock Percussion/Woodstock Chimes - Born out of Garry's passion for music and instruments. Garry built and sold his first instrument, a metallophone, out of materials he found at the landfill !(aluminum tubes from discarded lawn chairs) In 1980, he was one of 18 musicians to win a grammy for Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians, and in 2002 joined the group Nexus who the NY Times have called the "high priests of percussion."Garry and Diane founded "The Woodstock Chime Fund which assists artists and humanitarian efforts here in The Hudson River Valley which is where Brown House Treasures is also located. 2009 marks the 30th Anniversary of Woodstock Chimes!
