This is a fine early flint lacy glass open salt that is very attractive in a fiery opalescent color. This salt is Neal BS 2. A salt similar to this is listed in "A Guide To Sandwich Glass Blown Tableware, Cup Plates and Salts" by Barlow and Kaiser, plate #1448, where it booked for $225 in clambroth glass back in 1987. Very nice early Sandwich lacy opalescent glass salt offered here with the opening bid the reserve and a "Buy It Now". SIZE: The salt is 1 7/8" H. x 1 15/16" W. x 3 3/16" L.. CONDITION: The condition is As Found with one foot glued back in place. Otherwise there is minimal roughness and one small chip and tiny nicks to the rim. This is still good condition for a rare 150 year old glass salt. This salt is also full of the imperfections often seen in early lacy glass salts.
