highly detailed black & white folded map. They are taken from the OS 1:2,500 (or 25 inch) maps and reduced to about 15 inches to the mile. Each covers an area of a mile and a half by a mile. They show streets with individual houses, tram tracks, railway tracks and even signals, factories, wharves and such details as fountains and water troughs.This map is a must for the historian, genealogist and anyone interested in local history of Whickham & Swalwell between the 1891 and 1901 census period. It shows great detail of streets, houses, churches, schools railway lines, factories, cemeteries etc.
.This detailed map covers both Whickham and Swallell, and extends far west to include Axwell Park and Damhead Wood. Features on the map include Whickham Hall, St Mary's Church, Whickham House, Whickhambanks Colliery, Northumberland Paper Mills, Keelmans Bridge, Swalwell Colliery, Swalwell Steel Works, Derwent Bridge and River Derwent, Bates Houses and Home Farm. Cancellations:
In additon to our returns policy under the distance selling regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order within fourteen working days from the receipt of the merchandise if you send us a notice of cancellation in writing and return the merchandise to us in their original unopened and unused condition. You must contact us before returning an item to request a return stating the reason. All postal costs incurred are the responsibility of the buyer, we are not able to refund postage costs incurred in despatch or return of item.
