MONSTERBORE ! ...so what the f@(€ is that? Monsterbore is a down to earth southernrock band. The super group from southern Finland (hence southern rock) has been around for some time. This sextet of seasoned (or old if you want...) musicians with a history in various rock and metal bands have joined forces and now their debut album Morningstar is ripe for the pickin'. Morningstar is a labor of love, where years of being on the road playing all kinds of venues can be heard. After going through trailerpark loads of musicians varying in talent and attitude, band founder boys Petteri and Nicce hit the motherload with this bunch. Tipe Johnson (vocals): Tipe has a past in bands like Gringos Locos, Leningrad Cowboys (still with them). He's also responsible for most of the songs on Morningstar. Pate Kivinen (keys): Easygoing Pate has been around forever, touring with legends like Graham Bonnet and Hanoi Rocks to name a few. Ade Manninen (guitar): For a long time Petteri and Ade have been talking about playing together. Now finally in MONSTERBORE they get to realize their twin guitarist dreams. Looking at the big picture Ade brings to the band a certain amount of sophistication the rest of the boys might or might not lack. John Vihervä (Bass): Newest recruit John was a founding member of Stratovarius (...don't hold it against him...). He has played thousands of gigs, bringing balls to every note he plays. Petteri Hirvanen (guitar): Petteri is responsible for the production on Morningstar. He is also the inspiration behind the MONSTERBORE logo. He's also known as the teacher of so many of Finlands finest guitar players. Nicce Lindholm (drums): Being the youngest member doesn't mean he hasn't played around. Members of many Finnish frontline bands Stratovarius, Lordi, Hanoi Rocks, to name a few) have crossed paths with the MONSTERBORE thunder... Now awaiting the release of their first album, there is a calm before the storm so, be aware!!
