Seller: needfulartifacts (212) 100%, Location: Missoula, Montana, Ships to: Free Local Pickup, Item: 222330972769 Montana Territorial Prison Bars (Door) - circa 1871 True historic relic(s) of early Montana history. What could represent the "taming of the West" better than authentic territorial prison bars? Exceedingly rare as most ever available became scrap or repurposed. In fact, the actual territorial prison which once housed these bars is still open as a museum in Deer Lodge, Montana. This auction includes an actual jail door from the Montana Territorial prison located in Deer Lodge Montana. (See specs below) You are bidding on one door, with lock (no key - no hinges). I have four total doors available - buy one, or buy a set (multiply your winning bid per door) - all sales final. These historic relics of early Montana had a second life as an authentic prop in a recreated western town/jail at a private resort. (See images) These bars were purchased from the resort owner/collector of the original western town memorabilia. The images provided of the jail bars can be compared to multiple web images of the Montana Territorial prison to compare construction. The style of jail bars from this era were often unique as their manufacture was frequently geographically specific. This auction includes the actual iron prison door only. (You are bidding on one door - 4 are available) Use the bars for: Wine Cellar, Restaurant, Garden Gates, Trellis, Old West Jail, etc... Due to their considerable weight and size, this is "Local Pick-up Only." For a reasonable fee, I will assist the facilitation of transfer to a local shipping company of your choice, however, the actual pick-up, crating and delivery remain your responsibility upon purchase.
