Minolta 200mm f/4.5 Manual Focus Lens for Minolta MC/MD mount with leather case

This is a beautiful used Minolta Rokkor-PE 200mm F4.5 lens. This lens is in amazing condition! Case and all in great shape. The original case made from Real Leather! YOu can tell the leather ones, they are older, and are still in descent condition, while the newer cases look the same, but the plastic has cracked! This lens is in wonderful cosmetic condition. Look at the photos, hardly any wear can be seen on this old gem. A long telephoto lens on the Minolta cameras, this is the lower priced version. Built in Hood, and recessed front element help protect the front glass from damage. The iris moves freely with no oil on the blades, Focus is smooth and easy to turn. No fungus, but some antique dust is present between elements.
I place my Minolta 200 on my Sony NEX. A great little digital camera which makes is a wonderfully long lens, faster and sharper than the zoom lenses offered by Sony. Try it on your Olympus or Panasonic 4/3, Sony NEX and other mirror less cameras with the right adapter (not included or sold with this auction). Sorry, It will never be an auto-focus lens. even on newer cameras. The ebay 'product information' is for a newer version, so it is not quite accurate for this version which they didn't have available.
Since I found a bunch of 200mm lenses all at once, I had a fun opportunity to compare several of Minolta's offerings from 200/3.5 in the SR mount, 200/3.5 MC metal focus ring, 200/3.5 rubber focus ring, 200/4 MD-X, and 200/4.5 MC and as a comparison my 80-200/2.8 Nikkor. And this is what I found out. All performed remarkably well, The newer being sharper than the older, and the zoom being the least sharp wide open (it is the fastest too).
Unfortunately, Ebay's Item description is in contridiction to itself, The description is for an "Alpha" lens, which this is not. IT is manual focus, Old School Metal and beautifully constructed. I don't know how Ebay gets some of their descriptions so far off.
