This uncirculated 20 Malawian kwacha banknote is dated 31 October 2007 and signed by Reserve Bank Governor Victor Mbewe. It is a purple banknote that measures 138 mm x 69 mm. Its obverse side features three men in a boat in Lake Malawi and the portrait of John Chilembwe. Its reverse side depicts two farmers harvesting tea leaves on a tea plantation and the Reserve Bank of Malawi logo. Security features include a fish registration device, a windowed security thread with demetalized RBM, and a watermark of Chilembwe with an electrotype 20. The banknote was demonetized in 2013.
