Q: I think I was supposed the get TWO foam edges with my foam replacement kit but I think I only received ONE edge. What happened?
A: It is normal that TWO foam edges have shipped and are simply stuck together. Try to peel the two edges apart. If we did make a mistake just contact us and we will be glad to take care of it right away. Some kits are sold in packs of ONE edge only, so be sure your ordered the correct amount.
Q: I ordered a speaker foam repair kit, but I am not sure if it fits my speaker. What do I do next?
A: STOP! Contact us right away. DO NOT glue anything if you are unsure of the fit or sizing. If your speaker needs a different size kit and you attempt to glue it, there are no returns! If you GLUE it, you OWN it.
Q: I have a JL Audio subwoofer, and I do not know my model. How do I order a repair kit for it?
A: A: Measure your speaker CONE & FRAME diameter and then contact us with those measurements BEFORE you order!
Q: Does Simply Speakers offer combined shipping?
A: Yes we do! If you are purchasing more than one item from us remember to wait and pay for all items together. Even if promoted by eBay, wait until you have committed to all desired items before payment. You can also request a combined invoice.
Q: How can I add an item to an order I've already paid for?
A: Our order management system is highly automated making it difficult for us to change an order after it has been placed. For this reason we are unable to modify or change an existing order once it has been sent to us from eBay and processed. You will need to place a new order in this case.
Q: Can I change the shipping address for an order that I have already paid for?
A: We only ship to the confirmed address provided to us from eBay or your PayPal account. Any address changes or updates must be arranged with eBay or PayPal prior to placing your order with us.
Q: Can you send my International shipment as a sample or a gift?
A: We do not mark merchandise values below actual value or mark items as "gifts". USA and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. This applies to all shipments outside of the USA.
Q: I would like to order some speaker fabric but I need a size longer than 1 yard (36 x 60 inches). Can Simply Speakers help?
A: Yes, we can cut your speaker fabric in 1 yard increments as long as you need it, up to 15 yards (45 feet). The width of the material is always 60 inches (5 feet).
Q: What happens if the parts I ordered don't fit?
A: If you order something and it does not fit just give us a call at 1-800-511-3343 or 727-571-1245 or email us. Our team is eager to find you the correct size needed and arrange for an exchange. To speed things up please have your order number ready. PLEASE DO NOT GLUE OR INSTALL ANYTHING!
Q: I just finished replacing my diaphragm and the horn still does not work. What went wrong?
A: You might have a blown fuse, bulb, or defective crossover or component. This would cause the system not to send a signal to the horn. Test the horn by hooking it up directly outside the speaker cabinet at LOW POWER. If it works you will need to test the fuse, bulb or crossover components and repair or replace them as needed. If the horn is still defective feel free to contact us to make arrangements to return the item for inspection and to receive a replacement diaphragm.
Q: What can I do if my shims don't fit inside the magnet of the speaker I am reconing?
A: Speaker models vary. If your recone kit shims don't fit you can cut them into strips and insert several of the strips evenly around the magnet. You can also substitute our shim stock with thinner material such as business cards or other sturdy pieces of clean paper stock cut into strips.
Q: I have decided that I no longer want to repair my speaker myself. Can I just send my parts to Simply Speakers to have them installed?
A: Yes! Simply Speakers is Factory Authorized for most major brands. We install what we sell. Feel free to send the unused parts purchased from us for credit toward the repairs done in our shop.
