A. Yes, you can use it to install or repair your copy of Windows XP Pro Edition.

Q. Can I install this on any computer or is locked to any one brand?
A. You can use the CD install or reinstall windows on any computer as this is a full install even though it is an OEM CD you do not have to have a specific brand of computer to install it.

Q. Is this a full install?
A. Yes the software included is a full install. You can use it to install a fresh copy of Windows XP Pro Edition

Q. Can I use the software included to upgrade from Windows 95/98/etc.?
A. No, the disc will only allow an install from scratch-not an upgrade from a previous version.

What does OEM mean?

OEM software is made to be included with a new computer, it's not packaged the same as retail software and may look different than what you see in the store it's generally printed with an OEM name indicating how it was meant to be originally distributed.

If it's OEM can I  use it?

It's the same software as you would get at Best Buy or Frys just in a different wrapper. Large OEMs get special pricing on OEM CD's so the are often many times cheaper than the retail packaged CD.
