Limited edition Fender Telecaster
60th Diamond Anniversary W/OHSC
For your consideration is this Fender Telecaster 60th Annversary, limited edition Diamond Anniversary # 246 of 1000 with Ash body. The number found stamped on the bridge is 54395. The condition of this guitar is beautiful and near mint condition! The OHSC does have scratches on the exterior but inside all is like new. It comes with all the case candy that was originally included by Fender.
I bought this guitar for my daughter from Guitar Center in the San Francisco Bay Area when she came to visit. She wanted to learn to play but lost interest quickly. Her loss is lucky for you that it now has become one of those in the closet/under the bed instruments you always hear about!
What I know that will be of interest to a perspective owner is that the original strings were on the guitar until last month when I set it up with recommended Fender ten’s and played it for a little while to get the feel. Never having played the guitar before I noticed that the action is set too high for my liking and the tens are too light for the experienced player. Nut looks perfect! (See pictures 5 and 6 for factory set height. About 4mm on both E strings at the second octave.) Everything is original and works perfectly on the guitar. The issues I found are easily adjusted by your favorite technician/luthier to suit your preferences. For those interested I have included the Specs for this special edition as found on the Fender site.
