Beautiful wine or liquor bottle/decanter that is made in Italy. On the bottom it has a label that says FAUSTO CONFURI and GENUINE LEATHER MADE IN FLORENCE ITALY. It is made of glass that is covered in dark brown leather. There are 3 decorative leather strips running up the sides, dividing it into 3 sections. Each section has a different image of fruit...one is a bunch of grapes, the second is two pears, and the third is a bunch of cherries. There is gold embossing around these images. I don't think it is leather where the images are. If you tap your fingernail on them, you can hear the sound of the glass ringing more than where the dark leather is. I think the fruit images may be either painted on the glass or a paper image lacquered onto the glass, and then the dark leather is cut around it. The long neck of the bottle is also covered in a lighter tan leather with gold scrolling. The stopper is a nice large sturdy wood ball, with a plastic corkscrew stopper at the other end. There are no tears or rips in the leather...just a few rubs of wear here and there, mostly on the bottom where it rubs on the table. I have shown pictures of this. Most of what you see here is the leather gathered into the round shape around the bottom, wrinkles, that are then rubbed from wear...no cuts or tears. No unpleasant odors. Please look closely at all the pictures to see any rubs in the leather. It's really in beautiful condition. It is very attractive. Very good condition. It measures 11" tall. The bottle is 8.5" and the stopper is 2.5".
