About the Material
Our material is an exterior quality marine grade plastic.
It is designed to withstand the wear and tear of boats and corrosive marine environments
It simply cannot rot or delaminate at all. It is a completely homogeneous extruded material. It is also UV stabilized and will not discolor.
It is the material that has largely replaced plywood for boat seating substrate material because it is so durable.
How do we know this?
Our primary business is manufacturing custom plastic components for the marine industry. We serve over 200 of the worlds leading boat builders with custom fabricated plastic parts. We are a trusted vendor of boat builders such as Sea Ray, Scout, Boston Whaler, and many more.We are the leading consumer of plastic sheet in the industry and have worked with the material for 15+ years. As the leading consumer we have great purchasing power with the material. This lower material cost is passed on to our customers as is evident by our pricing compared to competing products.
We also have been making these nativity sets for over 5 years and selling them to local Christmas tree stands. This project was started because we saw it as an opportunity to make something we would be proud to offer, while also helping to supplement some of the seasonality of the boating industry. It is a win win to be able to offer such a nice and meaningful keepsake and keep our employees busy through the winter. This is the first year we have offered it on the internet and we are pleased to say that have only received positive feedback.
This listing is for the set shown in pictures 1 and 2 - Including 2 sheep

New for 2010 - Compact Storage
Everyone agrees the nativity scene is a great yard decoration over the Christmas holidays,
however in the past it has been a large item to store for the other 11 months
Now the front structure of the manger is actually two pieces that connect via a small puzzle piece.
You slide those pieces together and place the notched star on top to securely hold the structure and cover the puzzle pieces.
