A VINTAGE, UNUSUALLY UNIQUE - ROUND CANDLE HOLDER WITH METAL CANDLE HOLDER INSERT & SILVER TOP
We have up for sale a gently used, vintage and very unusual & unique - round candle holder & insert.
This large candle holder is round in shape and measures:
9 inches tall x 10 inches wide x 10 inches deep and measures 32.5 inches around in circumference.
The outside is a clear, smooth, thick crystal glass texture (please excuse some of the pictures, as they look rather cloudy)
and the inside has large, vertical ripples that give it a textured, swirl look.
The top opening has an attached 2 inch metal band around the edges - which is I believe silver-plated brass.
{I used a magnet on both the top & insert and nothing stuck...
so it's probably brass or copper underneath the silverplate.
You can also faintly see the golden colored brass or copper edges - from underneath.}
Please see picture #12 for the very small - "silverplate" box marking & stamp that looks to me like a pharoh's head? or a fly emblem?
It has a ring that lifts out of the top and there is a holder that would hold a large pillar candle up to 3.5 inches wide across - in diameter
and as tall as you'd like. (3 different shaped candles are pictured as examples, but are not included.}
The metal parts show slight signs of wear, but all in all, it's a very unique and attractive candle holder.
