It's that time of year when we want to prepare the garden for this year's crops or we have a patch of yard that needs re-seeding. A yard tractor mounted tiller can make these tasks much easier!
I have a John Deere 30" mechanical tiller attachment that I can no longer use. My JD 285 tractor broke down last year after many years of good service. Since I cannot use this tiller with my replacement tractor, I hope to find it a good home.
This John Deere tiller is a model M03260X that is designed to work with the JD 240, 260, 265, 285, 320, 325, 345 and some GX, LX and GT yard tractors. To see if this tiller will work with your tractor, I suggest that you visit http://jdparts.deere.com, click on the John Deere Parts Catalog link on the left side, and enter your tractor model number in the Model Find box. If the Attachment list shows the 2203 30" Mechanical Tiller, this tiller will work with your garden tractor. Note that your tractor may require an attachment lift kit to handle this tiller, and the John Deere parts catalog will show you what is needed. No lift kit parts are included with this tiller. I also do not have a manual for this tiller, unfortunately. This auction only includes only what you see in the pictures.
This John Deere 30" mechanical tiller worked well the last time I used it, and it should be ready to use. As you can see in the pictures, there is some rust on the tiller box and the support arms. It comes with the drive belt and both transporting wheels roll freely. Due to the size and weight of this tiller, the buyer must pick up the tiller in Thomasboro, IL. Payment can be made with PayPal or by cash when the tiller is picked up. I hope some one with an older model John Deere garden tractor can put this tiller to good use.

*** NOTE: I just heard from a potential buyer that he called his John Deere dealer, and this tiller WILL NOT work on his 345. Before bidding, please contact your local dealer to see if the Model M03260X will work on your garden tractor. I know it worked on a JD 285 because that is what I owned. I have no personal knowledge whether it works with other models. Please check with a John Deere dealer before bidding! (note added on Monday, 4-4-2011)
