JUPITER-9 is Soviet interchangeable lens designed for Zenit, Pentax and Praktica and other compatible SLR photo cameras with frame 24x36mm and M42 screw mount . JUPITER-9 is one of the most used lenses in portrait photography. Most Russian professional photographers use it and it is still a desirable lens. This lens is perfect for portrait shooting as its characteristics are very good for that. It was made for Fed, Zorki (LTM- Leica Thread Mount) and for Kiev, Contax (Bayonet) and for Zenit and Praktica (M42 & M39 Old Zenit). I offer one for Zenit, Pentax and Praktica (M42). The lens was manufactured by LZOS (Lutkarino - Russia/USSR/Soviet/CCCP) optics factory in 1988 year.
Will fit to all M42 screw-mount 35mm MF (Manual Focus) SLR film cameras, also for SLR and DSLR cameras with appropriate adapters: Canon EOS, Nikon, Sony Alpha, Olympus OM, Pentax, Minolta AF & MD, Yashica FR/Contax, Canon FD and others
This lens is in EXCELLENT condition (see actual photos). All features have been checked and work properly. Glasses on lens are clean, no fungus, no fog. Just light (insignificant) cleaning marks are on front glass but as you know it not give any effect on result image. And one dirt(or something other) place about 3 mm long near edge and under front glass. I guess it will not give any effect on result image. Focusing and stopping are smooth. Some internal dust inside the glasses because hot & dry but dusty continental Asiatic climate here (most lens have this, in my experience). I think they don't show up on prints! Focusing on infinity was checked on camera with split-image in viewfinder (without make film) and it is OK! The lens body has light signs of usage but anyway looks well. Comes with: Plastic box and rear lens cap.
