Seller: jff-amarna (144) 100%, Location: Oldenburg, Ships to: Worldwide, Item: 252647729354 This is a really nice Pre-Dynastic jar-shaped vessel with a squat spherical body and tubular string-hole handles, decorated with reddish-umber wavy 'water' lines, horizontally around the upper body and vertically across the base.There was an old label inside the jar on which it is stated as: Found on the Balaric Islands (Mediteranian) 300 years B.C. Date: Egypt, Naqada II Period, ca. 3300 - 3200 B.C. Material: marl clay Size: diameter ca. 8,5 cm, height ca. 6.2 cm Condition: the rim is chipped and one handle slightly, otherwise intactProvenance: private collection of the family C. (Netherlands).
