A very attractive marine oil by the well listed British painter James Webb. This signed oil, on original canvas depicts people mending a boat in a harbour. The painting is signed and in UNTOUCHED original condition. The artists best work can make over $260,000 for a single oil at auction. An artist with an excellent pedigree.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
James Webb was marine and landscape painter. He exhibited at the Royal Academy between 1853 and 1888 , as well as the British Institution, Suffolk st. the new Watercolur society and Grosvenor Gallery.
Webb painted coastal scenes in England and Wales, Holland and France and views of the Rhine in a robust, naturalistic style with a great attention to atmoshere of light rendered through sky and weather as with J.M.W.Turner.
His works can be found in Tate Britian , V&A museum and most provincial city art Museums.
