This absolutely sublime Emerson Electric fan is one of the most beautiful fans I have ever seen and its in 95 percent original condition. We got this fan (and one other, also listed for sale) from my husband's grandmother after she died. She had the original plug replaced with a retro plug, but otherwise this fan is all original. The brass blades are gorgeous, but three of the four blades have a repeated pattern in the blades that looks like a manufacturing issue. There are four tiny dings and creases across the top quarter of each blade. The brass has not been compromised and the blemishes do not, in any way effect the performance or beauty of the fan. In the interests of full disclosure (and because the imperfections are hard to photograph, although if you hover your cursor over the second picture of the fan you will be able to see a bit more of what I am talking about) we wanted to be completely upfront about the condition of the blades. Considering that this piece of equipment that has seen close to over 80 years of use, the "dings" are not noticeable, but should be mentioned.
We've seen completely refurbished fans on ebay that are only marginally better than this model that are going for hundreds of dollars, so if you want a true piece of history, then this is the fan for you. Considering that this particular model of Emerson Electric fans put Emerson on the map after years of producing reliable electric fans for home use, then this 29646 model will be an excellent addition to any electric fan collection and the best thing about it, is that IT STILL WORKS!!!!
