This auction is for an antique iron warded pancake 'Empire' padlock from the E.T. Fraim Lock Co. along with a key that is not original to the lock but works to open it. The lock is in great shape with no dings, dents, scratches, or other blemishes other than darkening to the case from age. As you can see in the photos the back of the lock is embossed with the Fraim Keystone logo.Since the key is not original, when turning to open, the bow the key needs to be held towards the bottom of the lock and then turned. There is some friction that is stopping the shackle from fully popping up and it will only pop up a little bit and then needs to be pulled up the rest of the way. The shackle spring is still strong which can be felt when pushing the shackle back into the lock to lock again. The squares on the graph board are each a half inch and that should help in gauging the size of each different key.
