FEEMSTER - Vintage Famous Vegetable Slicer - ALL METAL
A Feemster's Famous 1-Piece Vegetable Slicer crafted in metal by W. R. Feemster Co., Brooklyn, NY.
This 1-Piece Slicer has a sliding tray for varying thickness of slice and is crafted in a magnetic metal seller believes to be steel. (Photo 1 & 2)
It measures 7 1/2" long, 4" wide, and 2 5/8" high at the blade.
It bears the stamped Feemster mark "W. R. Feemster Co., Pat. 2273969 in 1943 and Pat. 2401668 in 1946, and Brooklyn, NY" shown in Photo 3.
"Rescued" from an Estate Sale, this Vegetable Slicer is not new and has a use history. While it has no damage and the slide moves freely; it does have light rust on the frame and under side of the Tray as well as staining on the Blade which is still very sharp. Seller has not cleaned this item except to make the maker's mark more clearly readable. It does not come with the box as seller believes this Slicer dates to the 1940s. TERMS OF SALE
Our listings usually consist of vintage, antique and/or used items. We describe items as being in "excellent", "good" or "fair" condition and as "like new" or "near new" for those items which are obviously unused; i. e. dinnerware with no utensil marks, etc. Since it is near impossible to describe all frequently occurring manufacturer flaws in many older items; we must state that "ALL SALES ARE FINAL - RETURNS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED". We encourage buyers to e-mail questions prior to bidding.
We ship most items and all "breakable" items utilizing USPS Priority Mail with a Delivery Confirmation. Non-breakable items are shipped First Class Mail (13 oz. o less), Parcel Post or Media Mail (only items that qualify). We will combine shipping for multiple purchases when possible; however, since many of our items are breakable we must use Priority Mail based upon the total weight. We ship items daily Mon - Fri.
Please remember that Shipping and Handling does not involve only the cost of Postage. Midstate Collectibles; like most mail order businesses, must apply a handling charge to defray some of the cost of packing supplies, Pay Pal fees, and Insurance. Our Handling Fee of $.75 - $1.50 plus Insurance on some items, is not an unreasonable fee for good packaging and fast shipping.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
Electronic Payment is now the only form of payment authorized by eBay. We accept payment through Pay Pal.
We operate from our home on the edge of the 388,000 Acre Ocala National Forest. We have built a reputation for honest and straight forward descriptions, fast shipping and no conflict with our customers as our Feedback amply demonstrates. We complete buyer Feedback after we receive Feedback. When you provide Feedback to us upon receipt of the package, we know you got the item and you are satisfied with our service. All we ask is Buyers give us fair, reasonable and timely Feedback and DSR's. Please remember the DSR rating affects many aspects of our business; not the least of which is our costs, and they tell us nothing as we cannot see the scores you provide. If you have a problem with your item contact us. We can work with you.
If you have a question about a particular listing; contact us through the "Ask Seller a Question" on every listing or e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Do not expect an immediate response but rest assured we will normally answer all e-mails within 24 hours of receipt- most sooner.
